April 14, 2026

Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti is observed every year on 14 April to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, one of India’s most respected social reformers and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. On this occasion, the Dr. Ambedkar Sanskriti Foundation remembers his lifelong work for equality, education, justice and human dignity.

Dr. Ambedkar believed that education could help people challenge discrimination and build a more equal society. His contribution to India’s constitutional framework helped establish principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. These values continue to guide efforts to create a society where every person can access opportunity and participate with dignity.

Ambedkar Jayanti is more than a day of remembrance. It is an opportunity to reflect on the responsibilities we share: respecting the rights of others, opposing discrimination, supporting education and working for the inclusion of communities that have faced social and economic barriers.

The Dr. Ambedkar Sanskriti Foundation pays tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and encourages people—especially young people—to learn about his ideas and put them into practice in their daily lives. His message remains relevant wherever fairness, equal opportunity and respect for human rights are needed.

On 14 April 2026, let us honour Dr. Ambedkar by carrying forward his commitment to a just and inclusive India. His legacy lives on through the Constitution, through the pursuit of education and through every effort to build a society based on equality and mutual respect.
